![]() Hey there, I've always liked the idea of 'tabletop' games, weather it be war or RPGs. The problem I have is it's hard to fond people in my area to play with, which normally defaults to playing with my Brother, cousins or work buddies. From there they are the group of people who don't really want to spend 1-2 hours reading through the rule books, but would rather 'learn as they play' or 'give me a tl;dr before we start and I'll get a hang of it'. I've had some success with Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition, for RPG (D&D would be way over their heads). They do love games like Dominion, Cards Against Humanity, Pandemic, Settlers of Catan, Ticket-to-ride, and pretty much any into board game. I've always enjoyed Warhammer Fantasy, about 9 years ago I got the starter kit for Warhammer (battle for skull cross), I had a ton of fun painting and building terrain. Again I ran into the problem where there was no one to play where (no game shops near by) and no one wanted to learn all the rule. That's where I could my love for 'throwing dice'. Recently I've been playing Total War Arena and Mount & Blade. I also happened to run 'lindybeige' YouTube channel ( he talks a lot about medieval weapons, tactics, history and general stuff ) as I was watching some of his videos he started to talk about 'Crossfire' which is a game designed to allow for company-sized battles and World War II scenarios. It employs an innovative rules system eliminating the need for a ruler.
